Hell, people can deny climate science based on opinion alone, right? So why can’t I deny the forensic science of airplane crashes? I think it’s worthless. We learn nothing. Airplanes are already safe enough. Why would we spend money trying to fix something that isn’t broken?

That is the finding of a new study that examined 11,944 scientific papers on global warming. Of the papers that offered a causality on global warming, 97 percent concluded global warming is real and humans are the cause.

During an outdoor press conference on Thursday, President Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan were protected from the rain by umbrellas held by two Marines. It definitely created a silly looking photo-op, which of course the mainstream media could not resist. And as soon as I heard about this, I also knew there would be plenty of right-wing nonsense to follow.

Republicans have decried economic stimulus in favor of austerity. They say government spending does not create economic growth, it hinders it. Well, the United States has not followed the austerity approach of many European countries, and we have the GDP growth to show for it. No thanks to Republicans.
