Government Offers Reasonably Priced ACA Collector’s Edition In Lieu Of Actual Affordable Care

WASHINGTON, DC — Glitches in the federal health care exchange website (healthcare.gov) have prompted the Obama administration to offer an alternative to the affordable health care promised under the new law, at least temporarily. To demonstrate their ability to offer an affordable product, anything really, the White House released this statement today to appease Republicans on Capitol Hill and the tens of millions of Americans who still do not have access to affordable health care insurance.

Government Shutdown: Republicans Make For A Disingenuous Negotiating ‘Partner’

The Senate passed a comprehensive budget plan back in the spring that would have ended the sequester cuts. It’s no surprise the Senate budget was dead on arrival in the House. Republicans refused to negotiate until a last minute offer by Speaker John Boehner to appoint a conference committee the night before the government would shut down. It was literally minutes before midnight. This was something they could have done for the past six months, but instead Republicans now blame Democrats and President Obama for failing to negotiate over the budget.

Republicans Need A 12-Step Program To Kick Their Anti-Obamacare Addiction

On the eve of a Republican-precipitated government shutdown, I think we need an intervention. Republicans need to check themselves into a 12-step program to kick their anti-Obamacare addiction. Anti-Science, Climate Change Denying Republicans Block Unpaid Science Laureate Position

This one pretty much flew under the radar. — A piece of legislation would have allowed President Obama to name up to three unpaid science laureate positions to travel the country speaking to children. The hope was to inspire children to pursue a career in science. But know-nothing Republicans are at it again. Because Republicans don’t believe in climate change, and in fact believe it’s nothing more than a political issue, they killed the bill because it might serve as a means for President Obama to spread climate science falsehoods. And well, I guess Republicans do know a thing or two about deception and fabrication.

To Tea Party Republicans Threatening Government Shutdown: America Does Not Negotiate With Terrorists

The right-wing radicals who have held the GOP hostage for over four years, are now threatening to hold the entire country captive until their demands are met. These “Tea Party” Republicans want further cuts to government spending, but their biggest demand is full repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). They know repeal will not happen under normal circumstances, so they must create the grim conditions necessary for Democrats and President Obama to crack under the pressure. In other words, they must terrorize the nation. These extremist fanatics bathe in American patriotism and wave their flags, but until they get what they want, American democracy can go fuck itself. Yeah, I got your compromise right here.
