Conservative Bubble: Republican Congressman: We Probably Could Get The Votes To Impeach Obama

Speaking in Luling, Texas on Saturday, Republican Representative Blake Farenthold said Republicans could probably get the votes to impeach Obama. He apparently ignored the small detail that President Obama is in his second term, and that’s because more Americans voted for him over Romney. That doesn’t phase these Republicans. They live in their own little world, and world we affectionately call the conservative bubble. They talk like they speak for all Americans. — Well of course Obama is a joke, and we need to do something about it. And so yeah, we could impeach him if we decided to vote on it.

Observation of the Day: Conservatives Fear Social Justice

Conservatives who respond in opposition to social justice are not behaving with a clearly defined philosophy or ideology. Obamacare Won’t Kill Grandma, But Republicans Still Want To Repeal It

Before I talk about Obamacare and irrational Republicans, I have to remind everyone that we need to fight back against the false narrative that says both sides are the same. Right now in Washington, Republicans are not about governing. They aren’t about solutions. They aren’t about helping people, especially minorities of any group. The Conservative Long Con In 4 Easy Steps

Next time you hear a Republican elected official say something foolish, or vote for the 50th, 60th, or 100th time to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), remember this — many of these Republicans are not as ideological as you might believe. Oh sure, there are the true believers, but others are simply playing a long con on the conservative voting base. And this con has four simple steps.

Observation of the Day: Robert Reich Says ‘Regressives’ Have Taken Over Republican Party

The fundamentalist constituency, eating the Republican Party alive, should be known collectively as “regressives,” according to a Facebook post by Robert Reich. There is nothing conservative about them. They do not wish to preserve the status quo, they wish to destroy it, and with it, all the progress over the past century. Reich calls them “regressives” while I have referred to them as “extreme right-wing radicals.”
