In his Wall Street Journal piece, (“Obama and the L-Word“), Daniel Henninger says “liar” is a “potent and ugly word with a sleazy political pedigree.” He says calling someone a “liar” crosses a line and it “suggests bad faith and conscious duplicity.” Crosses a line? Sure, if you are lying about someone lying. But calling someone a liar “suggests bad faith and conscious duplicity”? Well yeah, that is the point isn’t it?

Medicare: Universal Health Care So Evil, We Gave It To Senior Citizens

Medicare ID cardSince 1965, the United States of America has experimented with a crazy, evil and potentially nation-destroying idea of universal health care. See, that was the year congress enacted Medicare under the Social Security Act. Medicare is a government-run universal health care insurance program for people 65 and older, as well as younger people with disabilities. This program is so bad for America that it polls at greater than 80% and it’s helped lift millions of senior citizens out of poverty and give them the peace of mind of knowing they have access to health care in their advancing years. What a horrible idea!

For Republicans, Duality is a State Of Mind, a Means To An End

Republicans exist in their own special place and time. A place that is loose with facts, stuffed with contradictory statements and topped off with hyperbolic rhetoric. Whatever will get the job done. Their soon-to-be nominee for president, Mitt Romney is the poster child of Republican duality. For Republicans this is simply a state of mind. The goal is to win the White House and take full control of U.S. government. Convictions are less important than ultimate power, and so Republicans willingly trample on their own statements and previous policy positions. It’s a means to an end.
