DOJ Secretly Obtained Phone Records Of 20 Associated Press Reporters And Editors

Today we learned the Department of Justice secretly obtained phone records of 20 reporters and editors at the Associated Press. This news should alarm not just the AP and other news organizations, it should concern everyone. The AP learned of the secret probe this past Friday in a letter from the DOJ. While the letter revealed that the government obtained the phone records, it did not reveal why.
