What Can Denmark Teach Us About Ourselves?

On The Huffington Post, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders asks (“What Can We Learn From Denmark?“). But I think a better question is: What can Denmark teach us about ourselves? — Senator Sanders talks about the town hall meetings he attended with Danish Ambassador Peter Taksoe-Jensen. During those meetings, people learned about the major differences in quality of life of the average person in Denmark compared to the average person in the United States.

Dow Jones, The Kenyan Socialist, And A Thousand Years Of Darkness

On Tuesday, January 20, 2009, the Kenyan socialist, also known as Barack Obama, took the oath of office and became the 44th President of the United States. His presidency was only made possible by the massive fraud committed by ACORN, oh, and the lone Black Panther. On that lowly day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) closed at 7949.09, and the first anti-American, anti-capitalist president set forth a plan to ruin the fortunes of CEOs and top executives. You know, the “productive class” in our society. The people who do the heavy lifting and throw a few scraps at the rest of us when they are feeling generous.

UK Takes On ‘Too Big To Fail’ Banks

There is no political will in the United States to do what’s necessary to make sure we don’t see a repeat of the 2008 financial meltdown. The reason might be more complex, but at the root of it is this: money in politics. Our elected officials are beholden to the banks, not the citizens. Across the pond, some are showing the political courage necessary to stabilize the financial system, and make it more amiable to the average person. If successful, banks in the UK will no longer be able to gamble with customer deposits. No longer will banks lean on taxpayer bailouts to hedge against unnecessary risk.

I’m a Socialist and So Are You

Did you hear? President Obama wants the Bush tax cuts to expire – only on the top tax bracket – therefore he is a socialist. Or let’s try another one… They are saying Obama is a socialist because he wants everyone in this country to have access to healthcare. Actually “they” are right about that second one. That is a socialist idea and I fully embrace it. This must mean I’m a socialist too, at least when it comes to the topic of healthcare. I will show I’m also a socialist in many other areas and you likely are as well.
