NJ Gov. Chris Christie Says War On Drugs Is ‘A Failure’
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) is a blowhard, but every once in a while he says something sensible, like his opinion on the war on drugs.
“The war on drugs, while well-intentioned, has been a failure. We’re warehousing addicted people everyday in state prisons in New Jersey, giving them no treatment,” said Christie.
Indeed, the war on drugs has been a colossal failure that has fueled violent crime and a private, for-profit prison industry.
