Zephyr Teachout: Romney’s Oligarchic Vision
Zephyr Teachout, Associate Professor of Law at Fordham University, had the following critique of Mitt Romney’s economic plan while guest on Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC:
His vision of an economy is sort of the oligarchic vision. Let’s have a bunch of really powerful, really concentrated companies that are then the job creators that sort of give out jobs when they feel like it.
We should be so lucky. So far they are just hoarding cash and expecting existing employees to work more hours. But there is no doubt that a Romney economy would be a disaster for America. We know this because we already saw this movie before. It was called ‘W’.
