The Obama Campaign Wants You To Say ‘I Like Obamacare’
It appears the Obama campaign and Democrats have given up and admitted defeat. Originally ‘Obamacare’ was a disparaging term used by Republicans when talking about President Obama’s key legislative success, the ‘Affordable Care Act‘. But now the Obama campaign has launched the ‘I Like Obamacare’ petition for you to sign to commemorate the 2-year anniversary of the health care law.
On one hand, it shows that the Obama campaign is not trying to back away from the health care law during President Obama’s re-election bid. On the other hand, it continues the trend of Democrats allowing Republicans to frame the discourse. It feels like capitulation to use the Republican shorthand for Obama’s signature success. Maybe I’m being too critical?
