What’s The Matter With Conservatives? Cal Thomas Attacks Maddow
Conservative columnist Cal Thomas says of Rachel Maddow, “she is the best argument in favor of her parents using contraception“. He says it with a look of bravado on his face knowing he just said something provocative.
What’s the matter with conservatives? Thomas attacks Maddow because she supports access to contraception – presumably Thomas does not – yet the best thing he can come up with is saying her parents should have used the very thing he is against.
Thomas sums up in this sequence the hypocrisy of the Right. They say they are for protection of life yet they find it so easy to make statements like this in response to people they don’t like.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – conservatives are for – liberty, rights, life, etc. – when it applies to people who look like them and think like them. Apparently everyone else can go to hell.

Maddow responded to Thomas’ comments on her Thursday show. On Friday, she told her viewers that Thomas had called her the next morning and said he was sorry.
“He didn’t mean it and he wished he hadn’t said it,” Maddow said. “I completely believe his apology. I completely accept his apology.”
