Invention by Republican: Eric Bolling’s Problem With Reality
Invention by Republican is a regular series on The Left Call, highlighting factually inaccurate and hyperbolic narratives by Republicans, conservatives and right-wing ideologues.
Today on Fox & Friends, Eric Bolling suggested the January 2012 jobs report numbers were adjusted to make Obama look good. His evidence? Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis works for the Obama administration so that means there is “room for error”, as Bolling puts it. Hey, it’s just Fox News living up to one of their slogans “We report. You decide”.
When reality is working against a narrative, an ideologue must resort to making outrageous claims to explain away the truth. It’s certainly worked for Fox News hosts in the past. Why stop now?
