One Small Step For ‘Lego’ Man: Teens Launch Figurine Into Space
Inspired by similar projects, two teens from Toronto, Canada – Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad – launched a Lego figurine complete with Canadian flag into near space. They used a weather balloon, several cameras and GPS equipment for the successful launch.
The video has been viewed over half a million times.
On their Facebook page, the teens say, “After endless hours of hard work, we managed to capture stunning views of our atmosphere and put a ‘Lego’ man into near space!”
No word yet on whether Lego Man survived re-entry.
