MLK: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. – Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’s an elegant quote, as was the case with many MLK quotes, but there’s just one problem: For as much as this eloquence resonates with those who know the injustice of institutionalized discrimination, this oratory falls on the deaf ears of those who most need to ingest the message. For it is those of privilege and power who dismiss the notion that racism is still a problem in America.
