Minnesota Is 12th State To Legalize Same-Sex Marriage

The dominoes of bigotry and intolerance are falling fast.

Today Governor Mark Dayton signed Minnesota’s marriage equality bill into law. And with that, Minnesota becomes the 12th state to legalize same-sex marriage, following Delaware and Rhode Island in recent weeks.

“Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should certainly include the right to marry the person you love,” said Dayton.

The law takes effect on August 1st.
