America’s Gun Culture: Questions To Ponder
Some questions to ponder when debating America’s gun culture:
Do concealed-carry laws make the jobs of police officers any easier?
Do legally purchased assault weapons and extended magazines benefit or inhibit law enforcement?
Do we subvert the ability of law enforcement to do their jobs when military-like firepower is available to the average citizen?
Does an absolutist view of the Second Amendment trump common sense?
Does public safety take a back seat to this absolutist view?
Do we overlook the original purpose of any firearm because people have invented ways to use them for sport?
Do we dismiss the carnage and bloodshed caused by guns to defend archaic abstract views on the legal wording of a document from centuries ago?
Are you and your family really safer because a firearm is in your house?
