Boehner, Republicans, Know Something About Party Annihilation
A few days ago, Speaker John Boehner said President Obama was trying to “annihilate” the Republican Party.
We’re expecting over the next 22 months to be the focus of this administration — as they attempt to annihilate the Republican Party. And let me just tell you, I do believe that is their goal — to just shove us into the dustbin of history.
Representative Paul Ryan echoed Boehner when he said, “He [President Obama] needs to delegitimize the Republican Party and House Republicans in particular.”
And let me just tell you John Boehner and Paul Ryan, Republicans are doing more to annihilate and delegitimize the GOP than President Obama or Democrats could ever dream of pulling off. In fact, Republicans are doing such a good job destroying their own brand from within, that many Democrats and liberals who want a healthy political system, are actually concerned about the long-term prospects of two healthy and competing parties in America.
Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the two-party system, but the only thing worse than a two-party system is a one-party system. There are other Democrats and liberals who welcome the fall of the Grand Old Party, but this liberal wants to see two parties that care about liberty and freedom. I want to see two parties that do not elevate corporate interests above the rights of ordinary citizens.
The Republican Party is out to lunch in the area of civil rights and combating corporate greed, and the Democratic Party could hardly be considered a brute squad when it comes to getting money out of politics as well as taking on unfettered capitalism. So the last thing we need is either of these parties dominating the political scene.
